Sunday painting to relax
I might have found something (related to my recent research on shape/value/edges/brush stroke, read previous post).
I recorded the process; I'll have to analyze, take notes, and see if I can replicate on a scene more complex. If the video is not too sketchy, I'll post the timelapse on the video channel too.

Pepper lips look to thick. She is beatifull when you ignore that.

It's a Wacom Intuos4 XL, it's a old oversized model; I use only 16:9 part of its active surface; and I changed the overlay surface for one provided by Huion (a WH1409). I use it with the stylus of the Cintiq13HD (compatible). That's my favorite combination since years now. I checked the timelapse frame by frame coz I thought, hey that looks familiar.
Hehe I knew it! It was the sponge tool! :D
It's amazing how you can feel the hot air rising up. On the hair it's obvious but also on the clothes (in a more subtle way) it really adds that extra feel to it.
yes, the new sponge tool part of the Watercolor set by Ramon Miranda. It's really a good brush for stains and splatter. I used it on a layer with Luminosity SAI blending mode and then smudged a bit :)
About the work on the air/ambiant/athmosphere; thanks for noticing, that's really something I try to improve.
