An Islands You Can Visit at Low Tide - Digital Painting Timelapse - Krita RGBA Brushes

Here is a speedpainting I made to explore the RGBA brushes of Krita 4.4.2 after work. I love these brushes! It's a place I painted from imagination; a fantasy island accessible only at low tide. I painted it while inking episode 34 (it's done now, it took weeks!) so I played with colors on evening before closing computer to relax.

An Islands You Can Visit at Low Tide - There is an "island" in France that you can visit at low tide: Mont-Saint-Michel ;)

The Magical Mont-Saint-Michel: an Island once more at high tide:

and Wikipedia:

There is even a cool curiosity on Polish Wikipedia (you have at home the best translator) about the car park :

Have you heard about this place before or maybe it is a coincidence that you painted a place that has its counterpart in France?

link David Revoy Author,

Oh, not a coincidence ;-) I visited it more than once when I was a kid, and one time around my twenties. As a kid, I was always fascinated (and frightened) about the story of the tide going at the speed of a running horse and drowning the car of the visitor on the parking; PL wikipedia is right about that :D The island was still beautifull when I was a child (also: souvenir from the perspective of children have this cool built-in nostalgia filter), but later when I visited it , it was looking like any over touristic attraction; with many buses, groups and shops. Still, it's a magical symbol in many aspect with its connection to tide.

Oh Le Mont-Saint-Michel always rembers me on good holidays i did in france as a child. I rember we stay the night in our camper directly in front of it, and nobody cares ^^ ... 2017 i visited again with my wife. Le Mont-Saint-Michel didnt change a lot inside but outside the island it becomes very touristic. We must stopped this time with our car far outside and go there by a shuttle bus. That was new for me.

But beside that, i still love it and the Brittany overall. I think Brittany have so beatiful Landscapes to explore and its becomes some of my personal place of longing. I hope, any day in the future i can quit my job, buy the are small house in a dreamy village and become old there ^^ ...

link David Revoy Author,

That's a good plan! I wish you'll succeed at it. Almost the same here; but my dream village is not so far from where I live: Puycelsi ; it's not that exceptional, but one of the most peacefull place I know with the best view.
