pleroma otp is useless and in general feels more buggy than building same version from source, especially after multiple updates

@jamie @ErikUden answering your question, all MRFs on OTP are probably precompiled, you only need to turn them on in AdminFE.
But then you can't add new or modify existing, if only there is some way to add them as exs.

@ayo I'll personally check them today - if instances still have ongoing spam or old spam not removed I'll leave them on the list and explain why, however it's best to say you can begin removing them all (even after my second list is up) because worst case scenario: you just import the list again.

I think the spammers just... stopped?
I checked several spam instances and many still have their spam posts but none had any new spam created in the last 14h. Everything seems to halt the exact same second everywhere.
I don't think we really won, yet.

We'll see this happen again I think. And it could be worse - a can of spam with a Discord link is almost *quaint.* I shudder to think what other image a bad actor could spam next.

Weird attack. Seemed to be targeted at admins more than users. Guess coz the intent was to besmirch and cause blocks.

@peterdrake Same observation here, but mainly yesterday: I received five of them. Today, however, not a single one so far. I hope it will be soon under control and no new spammer will be inspired by replicating this.

@hj @peterdrake That's totally aligned with my observations about the five ones of yesterday: they were text-only with a URL on top, and then around five quoted account pasted under, with a line break after each. They were very similar.
